It must be encouraging for the team at Unity to have studios and indie developers build incredible games with their platform. However, I believe it must be more exciting for them to see what students and aspiring artists are doing these days. Here is just small sample of some of our favourite Rookies' projects using Unity's real-time 3D development platform.
Anthony Robinson, Australia.
Anthony wants to contribute alongside a team of great artists so they can create an experience that entertains and inspires the next generation.
Shown below is some of his work from Tinker and Spell which is a 2D action side-scroller RPG that pays homage to games such as Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank while developed with full hand-drawn animations.
Sasho Lazeski, Germany.
Currently she is trying to switch from her current career in sales and marketing, to become a 3D character artist.

Petter Setterberg, Sweden.
In the short term, Peter wants to establish his name as a reliable and creative 3D environment artist. Later on in his career, he wants to lead teams creating amazing 3D content.

Laetitia Bertrand, France.
After an internship in a small video game studio when she was just 15 years old, Laetitia realised this was the kind of job she wanted to do my whole life. Her goal now is to become a 3D Environment Artist, specialising in texturing. With work like this being produced, we don't believe this dream is far away from reality.
Stefan Vermeulen, Netherlands
As a teenager, Stefan played a lot of GTA San Andreas. When he finished the game, he downloaded mods to make the game look all funky. One thing led to another and he eventually downloaded Google Sketchup and started learning how to make 3D models. He is now a fully fledged Unity artist working hard to become an environment artist at a big studio.
